Lifesigns is keenly aware that a single encounter once a year may fail to provide adequate tools and information for clients to manage and reduce their health risks. We pride ourselves on effective follow-up and optimal risk reduction. Following your exam, you may experience follow-up with:
Clients are often invited to return to Lifesigns to re-evaluate blood cholesterol or some other aspect of their exam. Clients may also be referred to their personal physician or to a specialist to evaluate some aspect of their exam that requires longer-term, follow-up care.
Our nurse practitioners are prepared to respond to the early signs of hypertension, diabetes or heart disease with lifestyle programs and, in some instances, with medication. Their repertoire includes a Lifesigns-branded course on nutrition and the ability to prescribe preventive-care medications such as Chantix, the most effective smoking-cessation medication.
For our corporate clients, onsite wellness coaching provides the most effective risk-factor follow-up available. No one is better prepared to follow blood pressure, encourage lifestyle changes or provide the tools for stress reduction. Through a year-over-year health risk assessment, the worksite coach is also in an excellent position to provide a gentle reminder when the time arrives to repeat certain screening exams.
