PSA prostate cancer screen

Why: Measurement of PSA, or prostate specific antigen, is a screening test for cancer of the prostate, a common fatal cancer in men.

What: Lifesigns follows the recommendations of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine to conduct a baseline PSA for all men at age 40 with emphasis on rate of change in subsequent testing (“PSA velocity”).
