William H. West, M.D. - Chairman and CEO
A graduate of Harvard College and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Dr. West is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. He is founder-emeritus of the West Clinic in Memphis, TN, one of the largest cancer treatment programs in the southeast, and has published numerous articles in the peer-reviewed medical literature. Dr. West has a career long interest in health care delivery systems. He brings a valuable perspective to screening and prevention as Chairman and Principal Investor of Lifesigns.
Michael A. Ashack – President and Chief Development Officer
A graduate of Eastern Illinois University, Mike Ashack has more than 21 years of experience in health care and employee benefits sales and marketing. In his role at Lifesigns, he oversees all business development initiatives, as well as sales acquisition and service to corporate customers. As a member of the senior management team, Ashack’s responsibility reaches far across the company to ensure Lifesigns is a viable and profitable organization.
He joined Lifesigns in September of 2007 after spending 17 years in three regions of the country with Delta Dental. Ashack most recently served as director of sales for Northern California for Delta Dental and was a past associate vice president of sales for Delta Dental of Tennessee. He started his career as an underwriter of life and disability products for Fort Dearborn Life Insurance Company in Chicago. Recognized as a national sales leader and industry expert, Ashack regularly speaks to industry groups about wellness strategies across the country.
Monica Walker - Chief Operating Officer
Monica Walker attended Middle Tennessee State University majoring in Business Management and has been with Lifesigns for ten years. Walker is responsible for operations of the company and overall performance of our four centers. Prior to joining Lifesigns, Walker spent ten years in retail management with McDonalds Corporation and Shoe Carnival where she gained valuable customer service training and experience with staffing/financial modeling.
During her career with the company, Walker has previously served as center administrator of the Nashville center and director of Tennessee operations. In her role as Director of Operations Walker implemented the NextGen practice Management system for Lifesigns. Walker is a member of several organizations, including the Tennessee Medical Group Management Association, the Middle Tennessee Society of Human Resource Management and the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce.
Brian Polak - Chief Information Officer
A graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in management information systems, Polak joined Lifesigns in June 2006. As Director of Information Technology, Brian is responsible for the development and implementation of all technology and telecommunications systems for the company. Prior to joining Lifesigns, Polak served as the IT Operations Manager at Stryker Physiotherapy Associates.
Rejeanna Buchanan - Director of Financial Services and Controller
A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor of accounting degree, Buchanan brings many years of experience in HR Outsourcing and casino finance to Lifesigns. Buchanan joined Lifesigns in October 2007, and was promoted to Controller in November 2008. In her role with Lifesigns, Buchanan prepares financial statements, manages cash flow, payroll and financial modeling.
