history

Prior to 2005, Lifesigns was owned by Physiotherapy Associates, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stryker Corporation. In 2005, Lifesigns was acquired by The Prevention Group and is dedicated to preventive medicine, health promotion, and reduction of risks of chronic disease.

Its luxury physical examination centers are built with a focus on comfort and convenience, while its diagnostic services are nothing short of comprehensive. Some of the one-stop health exams that are offered at Lifesigns are as follows: complete physical exam, screening ultrasound, laboratory bloodwork and urinalysis, chest x-ray, electrocardiogram, eye exam, body composition analysis, audiometry, pulmonary function test, mammography, GYN tests, prostatic specific antigen test and DEXA scan.

In May of 2007, Lifesigns unveiled two new product lines to make their focus on early detection and prevention of disease more comprehensive and convenient to the corporate community. The Onsite Screening Program provides a team of specialists to conduct clinical screenings at companies in order to make it more convenient for employees to participate and to help them find out their current health status. The Onsite Coaching Program is where the coaches provide the ultimate approach to health behavior change via face-to-face interaction with each employee on an ongoing basis. Both programs impact healthcare dollars by helping employees take responsibility for their health.
